Residential intensive driving courses are held in Scotland on a regular basis.
Hotel accommodation is plentiful in this beautiful part of the world. When you book your course with me I can give you a list of suitable accommodation in the area. The price of your tuition does not include accommodation costs.
Learning to drive in Scotland is less stressful for some people, since they are away from the distractions of their normal environment.
A residential course costs the same price for the training plus the cost of accommodation.
Accommodation can be added to the price of your course and is approximately £175 for the 5 day course and £235 for the 7 day course and is for bed and breakfast (prices will vary according to season and availability)
Scottish courses are conducted in the Perthshire area and driving tests are taken in Perth or Blairgowrie. Perth test centre is a full time test centre (normally) and Blairgowrie test centre is a part-time test centre. This means it only opens one or two days per week on demand.
If there are not many people wanting a test in a particular month then it will not open until a certain number of people have booked in. There is no actual test centre, you have to meet the examiner at the fire station.
In Scotland you will be picked up and dropped off at your chosen hotel each day. Or if you live outside of Perth or Blaigowrie you can be met at any mutually agreeable place.

Your lesson will remain private and exclusive to you. I DO NOToperate a car sharing scheme where you share your lesson time with another 2 students. Keep this in mind when you are surfing for the best deals.
The cheaper driving schools may well operate car sharing, check before you book.
Many students travel away from home to complete their intensive driving course, as this helps them to stay focused whilst away from day to day concerns in their every day life.
Scotland is a very beautiful place to learn to drive. The roads tend to be quieter than in England and traffic tends to be a little calmer. You could, if you live in England still train in Scotland away from your everyday distractions and have a great holiday into the bargain.
My unique angle is that I always look at the person from within and teach that person based on their own personal needs.
How does it work?
First of all look at what you are trying to achieve.
| How soon do you want to pass your test. Try not to say as soon as possible, give yourself a realistic target date you think you can achieve. |
| How much time will your intensive driving course save you when you consider 1 lesson per week will take you over a year to pass. |
| Do you have the motivation to commit yourself and totally focus on the outcome you want? |
| Can you either be available for your lessons in Birmingham or Perth in Scotland? If not what is holding you back. Many students travel daily for their intensive driving lessons from as far away as Manchester to meet me in Birmingham. |
How many lessons will I need?
The learn to drive in 7 days course will train you over
40 hours spread over the 7 days. Taking your lessons at one per week will take you over a year to learn to drive, when you consider time off for holidays, sickness, lack of money or your instructor is overbooked. You will probably need around 50 to 60 hours using this method. Check out your options

Difficult or Nervous pupils treated with patience
All training is structured to the individual student. People are unique in their training requirements and as such each student will receive a training course based on their needs.
