Pyramid of Success

The Pyramid of Success is a set of building blocks that you should use if you want to become a safe confident driver. These blocks represent each stage of your development.
By carefully working on each and every stage you eventually have a Pyramid of blocks that will take you to the top of your game, in this case confidence in your driving. Once you become confident in your driving, you will become confident in other areas of your life.

Your Pyramid of success in confidence depends upon six areas of action. If you do not act upon each area on a regular basis then you will not succeed as swiftly as if you had acted.

Desire to Succeed

Before you can achieve anything in life, you must first of all have a desire, a desire to succeeed. Not a wish or a hope, but a burning desire to be the best that you can be, always.
A wish is some artificial thought that might or might not happen. A desire should fill you with passion and determination such that you are going to achieve your goals, by planning, acting and finding the right person and tools to help. In this case a burning passion to become a safe confident driver and pass your driving test confidently.

Coaching

Having built up your desire, next seek out a person to help you.
A driving instructor coach will encourage you to become the person you need to be and to be more confident. You will be shown how to motivate yourself, how to go forward with your driver training, how to consider yourself as a very special person. A coach becomes your mentor and can help you through the bad times as well as showing you great ways to improve your driving.

Rules of Driving

Know your rules of driving as shown in the Highway Code.
Something to think about: How could you play football or tennis if you do not know the rules? How could you drive a car unless you know the rules of the road?
Sensible thinking, but how many drivers out there really know the rules of the road. By you becoming very knowledgeable about the rules of the road you instantly escalate yourself to a higher level of understanding and your confidence starts to grow, because you understand more.

Road Procedure

Learning road procedures, courtesy and consideration to other road users. Anticipating that next hazard. Paying attention by staying focused you will notice more of your driving environment and engage with it. This will produce a wonderful feeling that you can do it.
Road procedure is an application of the rules of the road.

Car Control

Confidence comes from being in control. Not of people, but of your car. Know how to confidently move your car forward, backwards, right, left. Which pedal does what? When do you press this or that pedal. How do I stop my car from rolling backwards or forwards. How do I work the indicators or gears. What are the gears there for?
These and many more questions are explained to you in a good logical manner by your coach. You have to practice using the car controls frequently to become very confident, your coach provides that safe practice for you.

Confidence

At last, you have built your pyramid of success and raised your expertise in your driving abilities. Your self-esteem is now very high. You have now reached the top of your pyramid as a safe confident driver.
Do you doubt it? How could you not be confident with the type of training you have just completed.

Learner Driver

Confidence building is the specialist area of expertise of Mal-uk Driving School. Learner drivers who are nervous and not very confident about learning to drive are transformed after an instructional course of lessons.
Every course is designed especially with you in mind. Lessons are tailored to your requirements and you are taken one step at a time on quiet roads until your confidence builds up. You are never thrown into a traffic situation that could stress you out.

Once your confidence builds, by following the Pyramid of Success training system, you will probably ask if you can drive into some traffic. Your confidence will be so high that you will have an awareness of your environment and will be quietly confident that you can do it.

Confident Solutions

By identifying your needs in terms of confidence building you can be coached to become more confident. Confidence comes from being certain that a particular action or circumstance is going to happen, because it has before. In other words you are certain that when you walk on the footpath and you put one foot in front of the other you are going to walk on solid ground. You are so certain about this because you have walked this way for the last 17 years without sinking into the footpath.

It is this kind of certainty that you will produce on your lessons.

Beginners

Absolute beginners to driving are most welcome at Mal-uk Driving School. No prior knowledge is required on any of the courses. A theory test pas is not required either. You will be taught all you need to know about the practical side of driving coupled with the theory. They go hand in hand.
