Have your say - Motoring Driving News blog
A parking notice in London outside a paint and decorating store states 'Parking limited to 20 minutes for loading only, no return within 1 hour'. Quite normal you might think, but there is a hidden rule that the unwary motorist could get caught out on. After a motorist has parked, there is only a 3 minute time gap to go into the store and start loading. You then have 27 minutes to carry on loading. In other words if the CCTV camera does not see the driver open the car boot and start loading within 3 minutes, the car number plate is recorded and a penalty notice is posted to the motorist.
The paint store owner has a very clever way of solving the problem. Inside the front door there are empty boxes. Customers simply run into the store, pickup one of these boxes and take it to the car. The motorist then joins the queue in the store without fear of a hefty fine.

Driving lessons for Nervous learner drivers
Nervous learner driver courses
Learn to drive the easy way
New drivers (beginners) are advised to start their driver training by having as many driving lessons as they can over a short period of time. This will help re-inforce the correct procedures for driving away fom the kerb, parking, gear changing & road procedures. A theory test pass is not required for this type of course. An intensive driving course for new drivers is not intended to get you through your test in a week. Those days have long since gone and if you see any websites out there that say any different, then treat them with suspician. You will learn to drive in a week, but you will not be ready for your driving test.
