Intensive Driving Courses

Which intensive driving course »

Mal-UK intensive driving courses can be booked in either Birmingham or Perthshire in Scotland. All driving lessons & intensive driving courses are designed for each individual students requirements. The driving lessons written below are meant only as a guide and can be altered to suit. People do not learn at the same rate and this has to be taken into consideration before a driving test is booked. An intensive driving course can be booked without either a theory test pass or a driving test booking. It is not recommended to book a driving test immediately at the end of an intensive driving course for new learner drivers without any previous experience.

Learner drivers without driving lessons experience

Learner drivers with no previous driving lesson experience are not advised to take a driving test immediately at the end of any intensive driving courses. Gone are the days you could start your driving lessons on a Monday and pass your driving test the following Friday. In the days you could do that you only needed around 20 driving lessons. Now, with the new driving test and any future driving tests you are going to need around 55 - 65 driving lessons before you will be driving at the correct standard to pass your driving test. A one week intensive driving course would give you 40 hours of driving lesson practise. You also need to allow time for the new information you have learned to be absorbed into your nervous system so that the way you drive becomes more natural.

New learner drivers are recommended to book a 7 day 40 hour driving lesson course, then depending on how progress is being made I will advise you when to book your driving test. Immediately before your driving test you will then finish off your driving lessons with a top up of around 10-15 hours. This process last year (2008) produced a 98% pass rate and this year to date (June 2009) has produced a 100% pass rate. Compare this to the national average of 43% second attempt and less than that for first attempts.

The type of intensive driving course you will need depends on many factors including your ability to absorb new information and the previous driving lessons you have taken already. How long ago were your lessons and the standard of driver training you received from your driving instructor are also influencing factors. It will not be until I meet you that an accurate assessment can be made but you do need to make some sort of decision at this stage. I have written below a few guidelines to help get you started.

Up to date intensive driving courses for the new driving test
