Perth Driving Test Centre

Perth driving test centre is the test centre I use on my intensive driving courses in Scotland when taken in Perthshire. The intensive driving courses in Perth are based mainly around the Perth driving test centre, although on the full 7 day intensive driving courses we usually have time to practise away from the city of Perth itself and can even drive as far away as Dundee.

The Perth driving test centre encompasses rural roads , 70 mph dual carriageways and some town driving. Before you take your driving test at the Perth test centre it would be advisable to practise a few times as some of the lane markings can be confusing if you have never driven on them before. The Perth city council roads department have marked out various lanes on the two largest roundabouts in a way that helps you navigate your way around. But if you are not familiar with the Perth roads you will get confused especially if you follow the conventional way of navigating roundabouts.

Perth driving test centre location


Perth driving test centre is located off the main road. The first challenge is to drive away from the test centre and navigate a reasonably quiet average size roundabout. There is no car park at Perth driving test centre whch means you will not have to carry out the bay parking exercise. All other manoeuvres can be safely carried out. Apart from the local knowledge you will need to navigate the two major roundabouts the only other area that you will need to be familiar with is turning right from a 70 mph dual carriageway across 70 mph oncoming traffic on the otherside of the carriageway.

On your intensive driving course you will be trained to such a high standard that you should cope confidently with all that is asked of you by your examiner.
